Think back to 1994 (if you were born) and it might be a little hazy. It was after all 20 years ago. Things have changed a lot since then and we're not surprised. Technology has become more than we could have ever imagined. Apple has exceeded itself and Microsoft, well, it's still there somehow. Our TV's are less that an inch thick and we play angry birds on our phones. There are a whole ton of things you could have said to little old me back then that I wouldn't have been able to make sense of. HTML apps are the way forward

Last week we hosted a tech talk at the Publishers Association (PPA) in London on the subject of "HTML apps, the way forward". I originally had a question mark in the title, but was told by the other participants Michael Kowalski, Founder of Contentment, the developer behind the Padify platform and Clare Evans, a Front End Developer at Kaldor who produce the PugPig platform to take it out. There is no question that HTML apps ARE the way forward, it seems.

Vloggers, books and the stigma of digital media

Vlogging took off shortly after YouTube became a household site. A hybrid of video and blogging, thousands of vloggers post regular videos; from gaming vloggers to beauty and comedy. Some have achieved immense fame, so much so that they are now releasing books.

I found this an unusual idea, why not release a series of vlog's telling their story instead of writing a book? Why take these internet celebrities away form their natural habitat and onto paper? It seems a backwards way to do things to me given our digitalised world.
