Even professionals read on mobile: two case studies

Many of the brightest and best publishers have beautiful digital editions of their magazines, but with one fatal flaw: they are exclusive to iPads.
We see this mistake being made time and time again, both with long-established editions, and fresher publications. Excuses from editorial teams are wide-ranging, but all follow a similar theme: that cross-platform publishing is too difficult and simply isn't in demand.

As the UK's most widely circulating wine publication, it was only a matter of time before Tesco Wine Magazine harnessed the power of digital publishing to reach more potential wine-lovers.
The wine magazine now joins Technology and Entertainment and the Food and Family Living digital versions of the supermarket's popular editions.

The internet has been awash with photographs of a leaked prototype of the iPhone 6. Although the iPhone is by no means the first larger-screened phone on the market, it highlights a trend that will provide exciting challenges for digital publishers...
Whether these pictures are genuine or not, it is no secret that Apple's iPhone screens will be having a growth spurt. About time too: the iphone is lagging behind the screen sizes of its competitors (as pointed out in Samsung's cheeky advert about screen envy- click here to watch).

PJ's adventure starts here at Page Lizard when we receive the print-ready PDF files from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Using a clever piece of software, we sort and identify the different sections and articles, then upload them to our own special CSS editor as HTML text, transitioning PJ into the world of digital publishing smoothly.
